TWO MAGPIE’S

SOLD This sculpture features Two Magpies, made from piano parts.

The magpies’ bodies are shaped from various parts of the piano, with their black-and-white feathers represented by black and ‘ivory’ keys. Their wings are also made from keys, arranged to suggest movement and the lightness of flight.

The birds sit on the top note section of the key bed, which flow upwards, gradually twisting and curving to form the structure of branches.
