This sculpture of the Scarlet Macaw parrot is made from parts of a piano.

The wings are made from piano keys, arranged in a way that mimics the layered feathers of the macaw. The beak is shaped from a brass piano hinge and the eyes are made from piano action bolts.

The sculpture is painted in bright reds, yellows, and blues, echoing the bold colors of the Scarlet Macaw's plumage.

At the base is a gold painted cast iron maker’s emblem reading Richter which came from the piano’s frame.
